How ZOPE approaches pre-weddings

A pre-wedding shoot in Dubai can look like a film: desert dunes at golden hour, the Dubai Fountain at night, Burj Al Arab from Jumeirah Beach, the old lanes of Al Seef. ZOPE directs pre-wedding films like music videos, with a story, a location plan and a shot list built around the two of you.

Our signature option is the pre-wedding film with an original song. In the ATELIER package we write and record a short original song about your story and cut the film to it, so nobody else has the same film. We also shoot couple portraits, proposal shoots and save-the-date reels.

Personal shoots like pre-weddings normally don't need a DFTC filming permit, but malls, beaches and some venues have their own rules and fees. We arrange them. The best months are October to April.

Planning tips

— Plan two looks, one for golden hour and one for the city at night.

— Book the desert for sunrise or sunset. Midday light is harsh on skin and fabric.

— If you want an original song, tell us your story at least four weeks before the shoot.

Questions clients ask

What is the original song option?

In the ATELIER package we write and record a short original song about your story and cut the pre-wedding film to it. Nobody else will have the same film.

Do pre-wedding shoots need a permit?

Personal shoots normally do not need a DFTC permit. Some venues, beaches and malls have their own rules and fees, which we arrange.

When is the best time of year?

October to April. Golden hour in the desert and the blue hour at Downtown give the best light.

How far ahead should we book?

Two to three weeks is comfortable for most brand shoots. Campaigns that need permits, casting or government locations need four to six weeks. Smaller shoots can sometimes happen within a few days, so message us on WhatsApp.
